aAbout us horsham music academy
The Horsham Music Academy is an organisation of private music teachers who have banded together to share the costs of the establishment, thus enabling us to provide group tuition for school aged students in addition to the traditional private lesson.

Activities covered in these groups are theory, musical games, solo performances, folk dancing, learning about other instruments, and ensemble playing using our large range of Orff instruments (xylophones, drums, triangles etc.)

Students can begin musical activities at the age of 3. When they are 7 or 8, they are ready to begin private piano tuition.

It is better to learn piano before branching out into other instruments. Group Lessons are held weekly until students reach Year 7 when there are 1 or 2 lessons a term.

Many senior students also take theory lessons and there is also a Choir. Terms are the same as state schools, except that we begin the year one week later and we finish one week earlier in December with a Christmas Concert at Wesley Performing Arts Centre on the last Sunday afternoon of the term.
